Even the famous Phi Phi Islands, which gained fame as it was the setting for the movie ‘The Beach’ are in easy reach by boat from Phuket.

The Khao Sok National Park, just to the north and east off Phuket, features tropical forest still remote enough to inhabit wild tigers. Many safaris, daytrips and overnight tours to national parks and surrounding islands are available.
